For your child.
I have significant experience working with children in therapeutic as well as school settings, with specific expertise working with children who struggle with learning disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders and those who are twice exceptional (2e). No matter your child’s challenges, I use a strengths-based approach and assess the whole child to determine the best tailored treatment. Please see below for more information on how I may support your child.
I have worked and trained at many New York Independent schools including: Avenues: The World School; The Buckley School; Stephen Gaynor School; The Quad Preparatory School.
Child psychotherapy
Your child may benefit from a safe space to explore and express his or her feelings. I offer play and talk therapy—depending on age and developmental level—for children who may be struggling with a variety of challenges including anxiety, mood disorders, social issues or adjustment to a life change. I tailor my treatment to your child’s needs and consider both psychodynamic and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) approaches when determining treatment.
Parent coaching
If your child is exhibiting challenging behavior or has difficulty navigating everyday routines, they may benefit from support. This can often best be accomplished by my working with you—the child’s parent(s)—in order to incorporate strategies and systems that will help alleviate challenging behavior. I look forward to collaborating with you to help support your child.
